Turns out BTS are true Ariana Grande stans—and the feeling is mutual. The 7 rings singer is currently on her Sweetener tour and a very special guest attended her concert last night at the Staples Center in Los Angeles: Jeon Jungkook.
The two artists expressed their love for each other on social media. Grande posted an Instagram of the duo backstage throwing up peace signs. She captioned the snap, “screaming. 🖤 thank u soooooo much for coming to my show, Jungkook. it meant so much. love u sm.”
Jungkook shared his experience of the concert on Twitter, even admitting that he “learned a lot” from her. He wrote, “I felt and learned a lot after seeing her stage. I am really challenged by her stage and will try harder! #ArianaGrande.”
Needless to say people were pretty excited about the meet up.
According to Billboard, BTS was in town to kick off their Love Yourself: Speak Yourself tour. The outlet reports that they sold-out two shows (May 4 and May 5) at the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. According to Mashable, they played in front of a crowd of 60,000. And honestly, based on the videos from the concert (below) it looked like a wild time. There were what looked like giant panthers, a bounce house, some levitation, and even some kind of large plastic bubble. Fans were treated to the band’s trademark exuberant singing and dancing.
