Kate Middleton started her day at the Royal Foundation’s Mental Health in Education conference in London, wearing a Dolce & Gabbana tweed blazer and skirt. She’s ending it dressed up for the 100 Women in Finance dinner gala at London’s Victoria & Albert Museum. Kate is wearing a pink and cream gown by Gucci for the evening engagement with her hair half up, half down.
The gala benefits Mentally Healthy Schools, a program that Kate launched last year. The program “gives primary schools free access to the highest quality mental health resources, helping teachers better support their pupils’ mental health,” Kensington Palace tweeted earlier today.
Kate made a brief speech at the conference, emphasizing the importance of devoting resources to children’s and teachers’ emotional development. “The scientific and other evidence is clear,” she said. “The first few years of a child’s life are more pivotal for development and for future health and happiness than any other single moment in our lifetime. It is also clear that the positive development of our children is also linked to those who care for them: teachers, carers, and parents. And as we’ve heard today, it is therefore vital that we support teachers with their own wellbeing so that they can provide the best level of care for all children in their schools and communities in which they work.”
Tonight’s gala is the Duchess of Cambridge’s second evening event in the last seven days. Kate attended the BAFTA Awards with Prince William on Sunday, and she wore a stunning one-shoulder Alexander McQueen gown on the red carpet.
